"In the last few months of his life, my brother hired Barb as, at first, a part time nurses aide (Barb, change to correct title or descriptor of your position) to help with personal bathing and food shopping and preparation needs. Barb quickly identified my brother’s health situation and began to recommend things he should consider including involving me in legal and administrative needs as he neared the end of his life. Because of his situation, his need for her soon became a full time position. Barb is a superbly compassionate and efficient professional. She quickly formed a bond with my brother who trusted and relied on her heavily. As he got closer to the end, she realized that his living situation was not ideal and found him a new place to live as he entered hospice care making his last few weeks comfortable and stress free. I was with him at the end of his life as was Barb. She really never left his side and worked closely with the hospice personnel. I highly recommend Barb for similar positions. Her knowledge of the health care system is excellent and she takes the time to understand her patients needs and concerns, and makes sure they are met.
